Our handcrafted soap bars are made with thoughtfully selected ingredients, and how you use and store them can affect how long they last. A bar used for hand washing can last up to two months, while a bar used regularly in the shower typically lasts about 3–4 weeks, depending on frequency of use.To help your Smel Gud soap last longer, allow it to dry fully between uses. Keep the bar out of direct water and place it on a well-draining soap dish or use it with our burlap soap bag.
We thoughtfully select fragrances and essential oils to complement each product and create a pleasant, balanced scent experience. Our fragrance oils are alcohol and phthalate-free, and we choose scents that align with the overall experience we want each product to provide.Because fragrance preferences and sensitivities vary, we encourage you to review the ingredient information on each product page before choosing what works best for you.
Many of our products are made with plant-based ingredients, but The Smel Gud Shop is not an entirely vegan brand. Our goat milk soaps contain goat's milk, and our lip balms contain beeswax.We believe in making it easier to understand what you're purchasing, so ingredients are clearly listed on our product pages. If you're specifically looking for vegan-friendly options, we're happy to help you identify products that fit your preferences.
For us, clean beauty starts with being thoughtful and transparent about what goes into our products. We focus on purposeful ingredients, clearly listed formulations and small-batch production rather than relying on “clean” as a one-size-fits-all claim.We use ingredients such as avocado oil, botanical oils and butters, goat's milk, essential oils and other carefully selected ingredients depending on the formulation. Yes. Avocado oil is valued in skin and hair care for its fatty-acid profile, particularly its oleic acid content, along with naturally occurring compounds such as tocopherols. In skin care, it helps condition and soften the skin while contributing to a nourished, moisturized feel. In hair care, it helps condition the hair and add softness and shine.That's one reason avocado oil has become a signature ingredient across The Smel Gud Shop's skin, body and hair care collections.
Body butter has a richer texture than traditional lotion and is designed for customers who prefer more concentrated, nourishing body care. Our whipped body butters feature plant-based butters and oils, including our signature avocado oil, to leave skin feeling soft and moisturized.Because each formulation and scent may differ, check the individual product page for its complete ingredient list.
The Smel Gud Shop is a founder-led brand focused on thoughtfully formulated, small-batch skin, body and hair care. We pay close attention to ingredient selection, formulation and the experience each product provides, with avocado oil serving as a signature ingredient across our collections.Small-batch production also allows us to stay closely connected to our products and the customers who use them.
Orders are typically prepared for shipment within 1–3 business days, although processing times may vary during holidays, seasonal launches or high-volume periods. Once your order ships, you'll receive tracking information so you can follow its journey.Please keep in mind that carrier transit time is separate from our processing time.
To help keep your products at their best, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Because many of our formulations feature botanical oils, butters and other thoughtfully selected ingredients, proper storage helps protect their texture and overall quality.Always follow any product-specific storage directions provided on the label or product page.
